This research asks to know what are the limitations and potentialities that the productive sector of Chorotega´s handicrafts possesses, in order to propose strategies for the use of electronic commerce as an alternative means of marketing. Today, craftsmen are unaware of the extent to which e-commerce is used as a business strategy, thus limiting the availability of their products and squandering a large digital market to which they have access. The fact of identifying limitations and potentialities, will allow to know and to encourage the use of alternative means of commercialization for the crafts of Ceramics Chorotega produced in Güaitil de Santa Cruz and San Vicente de Nicoya, in order to motivate the preservation of this productive activity which has maintained the income of many families in the area. An activity full of cultural and historical wealth representing the Chorotega region. This could consider the economic development, not only for the income of the artisan but also to increase and energize the exports of the region, visualized in the scope of international markets. From the social side, it involves the contribution and articulation of artisan groups, human development, the community, and institutions. At the same time, there is a very important cultural element, which would make it possible to preserve the cultural wealth inherited through productive activity, with the potential to be attractive in international markets.
