Análisis de las relaciones internacionales de cooperación bilateral entre la República de Costa Rica y el Estado de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos en el periodo 2020-2030

Abstract

Las relaciones de cooperación bilateral entre Costa Rica y El Estado de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU), a través de los años han venido en aumento, siendo de gran importancia para nuestro país; sin embargo, estas podrían mejorar aún más y colaborar no solo con el país, sino con el desarrollo de la región. La intención de este proyecto de seminario fue realizar un estudio de cómo potenciar más las relaciones de cooperación bilateral entre ambos países en áreas que sean de gran interés para los dos y así poder generar la mayor cantidad de beneficios mutuos en diversos sectores. En este seminario, en la primera parte, se desarrolla un poco lo que es la historia desde el inicio de las relaciones diplomáticas entre ambos países y de cómo estas han evolucionado con el pasar del tiempo, asimismo se describe el porqué del objetivo de esta investigación, la definición y la importancia de la cooperación internacional, así como el planteamiento del problema. En la segunda y tercera parte se desarrolla el estado del arte, así como reconocimiento en la región, los resultados tangibles de la Embajada de Costa Rica en EAU y los actores más relevantes en el proceso de las relaciones bilaterales entre ambos países. Finalmente, se presenta un marco teórico sobre la importancia de la Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, el diseño metodológico que orientó el proceso de investigación y el análisis de los resultados del instrumento aplicado, así como la construcción de los distintos escenarios identificados, las recomendaciones y las conclusiones.

Bilateral cooperation relations between Costa Rica and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been growing over the years, being of great importance for our country; however, these could improve even more and collaborate not only with the country, but with the development of the region. The intention of this seminar project was to conduct a study on how to further enhance bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in areas that are of great interest to both and thus be able to generate the greatest amount of mutual benefits in various sectors. In the first part of this seminar, the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries since the beginning and how they have evolved over time is developed, as well as the reason for the objective of this research, the definition and importance of international cooperation, and the problem statement. In the second and third parts, the state of the art is developed, as well as recognition in the region, the tangible results of the Costa Rican Embassy in the UAE and the most relevant actors in the process of bilateral relations between the two countries. Finally, a theoretical framework is presented on the importance of International Cooperation for Development, the methodological design that guided the research process and the analysis of the results of the instrument applied, as well as the construction of the different scenarios identified, recommendations and conclusions.
