Análisis conceptual de la demostración matemática y su relevancia en el conocimiento especializado del profesor de matemáticas

Resumen
El propósito de esta comunicación es presentar los resultados de un estudio teórico sobre los significados de la demostración matemática mediante tres componentes: el concepto, los tipos y las funciones. La investigación es cualitativa de carácter descriptiva. Para la recolección y el análisis de la información se utilizó el análisis conceptual. Se determinó que el concepto de demostración tiene muchos significados dependiendo del contexto en el que se trate; que los tipos de demostraciones matemáticas se pueden clasificar principalmente en directas e indirectas, y que las funciones atribuidas son diversas y cobran importancia en función del ámbito en donde se ubiquen. Se considera que tanto el concepto de demostración como los tipos y las funciones de las demostraciones matemáticas deben hacer parte del conocimiento especializado del profesor de matemática.
The purpose of this communication is to present the results of a theoretical study on the meanings of mathematical proof by means of three components: the concept, the types and the functions. The research is qualitative descriptive. For the collection and analysis of the information, the conceptual analysis was used. It was determined that the concept of demonstration has many meanings depending on the context in which it is treated; that the types of mathematical demonstrations can be classified mainly in direct and indirect, and that the functions attributed are diverse and become important depending on the field in which they are located. It is considered that both the concept of demonstration and the types and functions of mathematical demonstrations must be part of the specialized knowledge of the mathematics teacher.
