Resumen
Las nuevas tendencias en procesos de investigación en biología
requieren de profesionales con capacidades técnicas y habilidades blandas, que
les permitan adaptarse a los continuos desafíos que enfrenta la biodiversidad. Lo
anterior, implica replantear y modernizar los procesos de enseñanza/aprendizaje
en esta área de las ciencias biológicas. Las metodologías STEM surgen como
una alternativa novedosa frente el desafío de mejorar las prácticas docentes. El
objetivo es realizar una revisión de los métodos y actividades del aprendizaje
STEM y su aplicación en carrera de Biología. Las experiencias que se comparten
son metodologías de naturaleza mixta que tienen por objetivo generar un
aprendizaje significativo a través del aprendizaje activo. Esta vivencia sienta las
bases para la creación de nuevas experiencias pedagógicas, que incentiven el
aprendizaje en un ambiente extracurricular que favorezcan actitudes como la
autonomía y la participación activa guiada por los intereses propios del
estudiantado y sus conocimientos, apoyados por el docente a cargo y en
colaboración con sus pares, para dar respuesta las problemáticas actuales en el
ámbito de la educación en biología y conservación.
New trends in biology research processes require professionals with technical capabilities and soft skills, who allow them to adapt to the continuous challenges facing biodiversity. It above, involves rethinking and modernizing the teaching/learning processes in this area of biological sciences. STEM methodologies emerge as a novel alternative to the challenge of improving teaching practices. He objective is to carry out a review of learning methods and activities STEM and its application in Biology career. The experiences that are shared They are methodologies of a mixed nature that aim to generate a meaningful learning through active learning. This experience feels bases for the creation of new pedagogical experiences, which encourage learning in an extracurricular environment that promotes attitudes such as autonomy and active participation guided by the individual's own interests students and their knowledge, supported by the teacher in charge and in collaboration with their peers, to respond to current problems in the field of biology and conservation education.
