Resumen
El presente documento es una investigación, la cual consiste en conocer cómo definen el
pensamiento crítico los docentes de Estudios Sociales y analizar las habilidades del
pensamiento crítico como la argumentación y resolución de problemas propuestas en las
diferentes estrategias metodológicas en las aulas. Su construcción teórica se basó en estudiar
los conceptos de pensamiento crítico, argumentación y resolución de problemas como conjunto
de condiciones humanas esenciales para vivir en el mundo globalizado actual. Asimismo,
comprender la importancia de que él y la docente se consideren como pensadores críticos
intelectuales e investigadores. Todo lo anterior, dentro de la asignatura de los Estudios Sociales
como espacio para el fortalecimiento de reflexiones, saberes y conscientes y con sentido por
parte de los y las estudiantes como de los y las docentes. Metodológicamente, es una
investigación cualitativa en la cual se utilizan instrumentos para recolección de información
como la entrevista a profundidad, los grupos focales y el análisis de textos. Los sujetos de
estudios son cuatro docentes de Estudios Sociales de la Zona de los Santos
