Relatos Bribris/Cabagra: Programa Promoviendo el Capital Social Comunitario 2021

Abstract

El territorio indígena de Cabagra, se ubica en el Pacífico Sur de Costa Rica, en la provincia de Puntarenas, cantón de Buenos Aires. La Sede Región Brunca de la UNA, estableció contacto con esta comunidad desde el 2018 y, a partir del 2019 empezó a desarrollarse allí, al igual que en los territorios de Ujarrás y Salitre, el Programa Promoviendo el Capital Social Comunitario (PPCSC). El objetivo del mismo fue fortalecer y revitalizar prácticas culturales tradicionales que permitieran a sus moradores revalorar la cultura Bribri. Ermida Torres, Abelino Granda, Laudencio Rojas y Marta Ortiz compartieron algunas de sus historias, vivencias y recuerdos.

The Cabagra indigenous territory is located in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, in the province of Puntarenas, canton of Buenos Aires. The UNA Brunca Region Headquarters, established contact with this community since 2018 and, from 2019 began to develop there, as well as in the territories of Ujarrás and Salitre, the Promoting Community Social Capital Program (PPCSC). The objective of this program was to strengthen and revitalize traditional cultural practices that would allow the inhabitants to revalue the Bribri culture.
