Resumen
Las tierras altas de la cordillera de Talamanca, el clima tropical muy húmedo y el calor humano de los cotobruseños hacen del cantón un espacio geográfico de condiciones ideales para el turismo en toda su amplitud. Coto Brus te ofrece, paisajes entremezclados de extensiones de café y áreas protegidas; donde encuentras la zona protectora las Tablas, Parque Internacional la Amistad ambas cobijan una densa cobertura boscosa propia de las estribaciones de la cordillera de Talamanca, al igual que en el Jardín Botánico Katherine & Wilson. Espacios agrícolas donde se ha desarrollado la actividad apícola, pecuaria, ganadera, granos básicos y una actividad pionera como es la producción de café de alta calidad, que le ha dado al Cotobruseño un sello de identidad, lo cual ha fortalecido la esencia del turismo rural. La presencia del territorio indígena Ngäbe o Guaymí “La Casona”; refleja la condición de lo autóctono en sus tradiciones y costumbres. La población italiana que es parte de la historia y actualidad; cultura que se deja sentir en el entorno. Y como todo pueblo tico, no pueden faltar en las comunidades las festividades populares y religiosas acompañadas del arte culinario, con una fusión de platillos de origen italiano, indígena, chiricano y de otras regiones del país, por tanto, puedes encontrar desde pizza italiana, picadillos, asados de res o cerdo, tamales, panes, mermeladas y mieles. Coto Brus, un cantón dispuesto a mostrarte las riquezas que tiene nuestro patrimonio natural, cultural e histórico que le dan una acogida al visitante de forma amable y calurosa. Y recordarte que este cantón limita con la provincia de Chiriquí (Panamá) por tanto encuentras oficina de Migración en Río Sereno.
