Resumen
Los países en conjunto con los sectores productivos hacen esfuerzos por crear condiciones que favorezcan la innovación como eje esencial, para agregar valor y así poder competir en un mundo globalizado. Uno de los retos más importantes que tienen las empresas es crear una cultura de innovación que funcione, para lo cual se requiere de una serie de aspectos y elementos claves que apoyen a la misma. El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de analizar las estrategias del fomento de la innovación en las empresas costarricenses. Metodológicamente, la investigación se fundó en la perspectiva cuantitativa con la aplicación de una encuesta electrónica, asimismo con los datos recolectados se procedió a la construcción de diferentes índices y su respectivo cruce con variables que caracterizan a la empresa (tamaño, sector, si exporta o no y a donde lo hace), asociados a los elementos claves de cultura de innovación. El tema de la cultura de innovación en la empresa se ha estudiado ampliamente en otras latitudes, pero en América Latina es un aspecto que todavía debe ser abordado con más detalle. Por esa razón, este trabajo contribuye de manera significativa en primera instancia a entender los principales aspectos y elementos de la cultura de innovación, que permite identificar los aspectos por los cuales se ha avanzado y, por otra parte, en aquellos que se deben mejorar.
The countries together with the productive sectors make efforts to create conditions that favor innovation as an essential factor, to add value and thus be able to compete in a globalized world. One of the most important challenges for companies is to create a culture of innovation that works, for which a series of key aspects and elements are required to support it. The present work aims to analyze the strategies for promoting innovation in Costa Rican companies. Methodologically, the research was based on the quantitative perspective with the application of an electronic survey, also with the collected data, different indices were built and their respective cross-over with variables that characterize the company (size, sector, whether it exports or no longer where it does it), associated with the key elements of a culture of innovation. The subject of the culture of innovation in the company has been studied extensively in other latitudes, but in Latin America it is an aspect that still needs to be addressed in more detail. For this reason, this work contributes significantly in the first instance to understanding the main aspects and elements of the culture of innovation, which allows us to identify the aspects for which progress has been made and, on the other hand, those that must be improved
