It presents a study of common characteristics that had as a transversal axis "sport". The purpose of this study was to analyze the transversal political thought of the 20th century, as well as to determine the philosophical sources, which inevitably refer to the relationship between sport and politics, and which correspond to the ideas foreseen for regulatory approval, as well as the relationship with the policies, that is, the relationship with the norms already approved and established in the legal framework of each country. A non-experimental "descriptive", cross-sectional design was applied, with a qualitative interactive case study methodology that required the collection of data from a selection of consulates, city halls and universities in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. The data management corresponded to a formal and content-based comparative documentary analysis, using an inductive methodology and a chronological and historical description of the elements found. As an instrument and research tool, an unstructured and focused individual non-directive in-depth interview, typical of case studies, was used to find out the introspective elements of the political actions and executive norms conformed in each of the countries studied, to which a content analysis typical of descriptive analysis was dedicated. The results show that there are philosophical, historical, cultural, economic and regional aspects that influence the construction of Central American sports policies as an agglutinating instrument that coagulates the hegemony of the political spirit and almost prophylactic of the reality and the national collective feeling.
