This study determined beliefs, attitudes, values, environmental behavior, and barriers of teachers and students in order to implement the "Adopt a Quebrada" Program at the Liceo de Santo Domingo, for which a survey was applied to 104 students and 38 teachers. The results of this indicated that more than 80% of teachers and students are willing to work with groups that care about the environment, however more than half of them have not worked in environmental activities. In addition, the activities carried out in the institution are characterized by a specific activism lacking action strategies in which participation, planning, implementation and evaluation intervene, thus losing the holistic vision of environmental education. The environmental behavior of the students occupied 33% within the range of positive, otherwise it happened with the teachers whose positive behavior corresponded to 93% within this range.
