Resumen
En la presente investigación se realizó un estudio de viabilidad económica financiera para la producción y comercialización de ganado de engorde, mediante la utilización del sistema suplementación estratégica en pastoreo, para la Hacienda El Guabo, ubicada en Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. Los objetivos específicos incluían la realización del estudio de mercado, organizacional, legal, ambiental, técnico y financiero.
Para la recolección de la información se realizaron entrevistas a la subasta de Nicoya y Santa Cruz, matadero Carnes 5 Estrellas, Coopemontecillos, al inversionista Miguel Arrieta Navarrete y 3 ganaderos de la zona de Guanacaste.
De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos, se determina que existe una alta demanda de este tipo de ganado, además, se determinaron los costos e inversión necesaria para llevar a cabo el proyecto. Asimismo, se determinó que el proyecto cumple con los requisitos y normas legales y ambientales que regulan la actividad ganadera en Costa Rica, sumado a lo anterior una vez realizado el análisis financiero del proyecto se concluye que el proyecto es viable y generará riqueza, por lo cual se acepta el proyecto.
In this research, an economic-financial viability study was carried out for the production and commercialization of beef cattle, using a strategic system of supplementation in grazing, at the Hacienda El Guabo, located in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. Specific objectives included conducting market, organizational, legal, environmental, technical, and financial studies. In order to collect the information, interviews were conducted with the Nicoya and Santa Cruz auctions, Carnes 5 Estrellas slaughterhouse, Coopemontecillos, the investor Miguel Arrieta Navarrete and 3 different cattle ranchers from the Guanacaste area. The results obtained from the research, which included estimates on the costs and investment necessary to carry out the project, determined that there is a high demand for this type of livestock production. Likewise, it was determined that the project complies with the legal and environmental requirements and standards that regulate livestock activity in Costa Rica and once the financial analysis of the project has been carried out, it can be is concluded that the project is viable and therefore is accepted.
