Construcción sociohistórica del accionar diacónico y pastoral de la Iglesia Luterana Costarricense (ILCO) como oferta religiosa en Costa Rica, en el contexto de las comunidades de fe indígena Maleku de Guatuso y sexualmente disidente de Paso Ancho

Resumen
El estudio de las expresiones religiosas minoritarias en Costa Rica y, sobre todo, expresiones
contrahegemónicas, es una gran deuda que aún poseemos quienes investigamos la religión en Costa
Rica. Una es la Iglesia Luterana Costarricense (ILCO), definida, en este documento, como un
movimiento religioso protestante contrahegemónico y disidente1
, de origen luterano, que opta por
incluir, dentro de su marco de acción, a todos aquellos sujetos de poblaciones empobrecidas y
discriminadas con necesidades materiales y espirituales insatisfechas por las otras ofertas religiosas
existentes o el Estado mismo, a través de su accionar diacónico (social/político) y pastoral (religioso).
La presente investigación da muestras de lo anterior, trazando una línea investigativa que
busca resolver la pregunta: ¿qué representa para el campo religioso costarricense el surgimiento,
desarrollo y accionar diacónico y pastoral de la ILCO? así como en el contexto de las comunidades
indígena Maleku en Palenque del Sol y sexualmente diversa de Paso Ancho.
Para resolver nuestra interrogante, en la investigación, en un primer momento, se realizó un
trabajo exhaustivo por recuperar, de fuentes primarias y secundarias, la historia del luteranismo;
desde su salida en Europa, llegada a Latinoamérica, vinculación con Centroamérica e introducción a
suelo costarricense; todo esto documentando el entrelazamiento social, político y religioso que
contextualmente fue dando forma al fenómeno que finalmente se aborda.
A partir de dicho bagaje histórico, nos acercamos también a comprender las transformaciones
de las prácticas religiosas a través de la manifestación de nuevas ofertas que surgen con intenciones
de dominar el mercado religioso que, por mucho tiempo, fue acaparado en mayor parte por la religión
católica apostólica y romana.

Esto llevó al investigador, finalmente, a tomar como objeto de estudio la construcción
sociohistórica de la ILCO como movimiento religioso contrahegemónico disidente. La mirada de la
presente investigación se enfoca sobre aquellos hitos que se relacionan con el accionar diacónico y
pastoral de la ILCO, y que nos proporcionen muestras del trabajo religioso que dicha oferta ofrece en
Costa Rica, específicamente a la población indígena Maleku de Guatuso y sexualmente diversa de
Paso Ancho.
The study of minority religious expressions in Costa Rica and, above all, expressions counter-hegemonic, is a great debt that those of us who investigate religion in Costa Rica still have. Delicious. The present investigation shows samples of the above, tracing an investigative line that seeks to resolve the question: what does the emergence, development and diaconic and pastoral action of the ILCO? as well as in the context of communities indigenous Maleku in Palenque del Sol and sexually diverse from Paso Ancho. To resolve our question, in the investigation, at first, a exhaustive work to recover, from primary and secondary sources, the history of Lutheranism; since its departure in Europe, arrival in Latin America, connection with Central America and introduction to Costa Rican soil; all this documenting the social, political and religious intertwining that contextually it was shaping the phenomenon that is finally addressed. From this historical baggage, we also approach to understand the transformations of religious practices through the manifestation of new offers that arise with intentions to dominate the religious market that, for a long time, was monopolized mostly by religion Apostolic and Roman Catholic. 10 This led the researcher, finally, to take as an object of study the construction socio-historical view of the ILCO as a dissident counter-hegemonic religious movement.
