It investigates religious education in the third cycle of middle and high school in Costa Rica and Argentina, a real experience of religious freedom in the classroom. The specific objectives are: Identify student experiences and perspectives about Religious Education in the third cycle of middle school in Costa Rica, and in high school in Argentina. To carry out a bibliographical and documentary review of the relationship between religious education and freedom in Costa Rica and Argentina. It presents alternatives for religious education that make possible an interreligious dialogue in the educational communities. There are two different realities, one in a public night school in Costa Rica and two private Catholic schools in Argentina, with the purpose of knowing the experiences and perspectives that the students of these institutions have about Religious Education. The Comparative Education method was applied with a mixed approach: quantitative and qualitative. The research instrument was applied virtually, and the data were collected and analyzed separately, the comparative analysis was made for both countries and ended with alternatives for an interreligious dialogue in the educational centers. Some of the conclusions are different countries in terms of the provisions of the governmental institutions that regulate education in each country with respect to ERE and its application in schools and colleges in their respective national territories. Furthermore, for this reason, in this research, we start from the assumption that we work in schools of different types of management, one of them is done in secular establishments and the other in denominational establishments. We perceive a global idea of emancipation of people in relation to imposed religions and therefore, their aspirations.
