It determines the reliability of cytology by two fine needle biopsy techniques (aspiration and capillary), compared to histopathology to evaluate nodular masses located in skin and other organs. Thirty cases (in dogs and cats) of nodular masses in skin and internal organs, which were referred by veterinarians, regardless of anatomic location, sex, age, breed and reproductive status, were included in the study. Cytology and histopathologic biopsies were performed.
