Las adecuaciones curriculares y la situación que enfrentan los educadores en la Escuela La Aurora, circuito 05 de la Región Educativa de Pérez Zeledón, a raíz de la aplicación de la ley 7600 "Igualdad de oportunidades para personas con discapacidad".

Abstract

La finalidad de la investigación fue analizar los factores que enfrentan los educadores al aplicar la Ley 7600. El objetivo general de este estudio es investigar la opinión que tienen los maestros sobre la Ley 7600 para detectar y aplicar correctamente las adecuaciones curriculares a los estudiantes de la Escuela La Aurora, Circuito 05, de la Región Educativa de Pérez Zeledón. La investigación presenta una modalidad descriptiva delineada por el paradigma cuantitativo. La literatura involucrada está referida al estudio de normativas existentes para la aplicación de adecuaciones curriculares dentro del aula, según las necesidades de los estudiantes. También se incluye literatura publicada que señala la problemática que ya han manifestado los docentes en torno a la aplicación de las normativas existentes. Se hace un análisis de los tipos de problemas de aprendizaje y de sugerencias para llevar al éxito a los estudiantes con necesidades educativas especiales. Se tomaron en cuenta en la investigación, la opinión de 28 docentes que laboran en la Escuela La Aurora, Circuito 05, Dirección Regional de Pérez Zeledón, la directora de esta institución y la asesora supervisora del Circuito 05 en el año 2004. Los resultados principales que se obtuvieron demuestran que los docentes no tienen la debida preparación para enfrentar los retos en cuanto a la aplicación de la Ley 7600 , como razones principales se señalan el desconocimiento de la Ley, la falta de recursos materiales, tiempo y espacio y la poca bibliografía existente al respecto. También se demostró una contradicción entre lo que perciben los docentes como la problemática real en el aula y la visión de los jerarcas de la educación al respecto.

The purpose of the research was to analyze the factors faced by educators when applying Law 7600. The general objective of this study is to investigate the opinion that teachers have about Law 7600 in order to detect and correctly apply the curricular adaptations to the students of La Aurora School, Circuit 05, of the Educational Region of Pérez Zeledón. The research presents a descriptive modality delineated by the quantitative paradigm. The literature involved refers to the study of existing regulations for the application of curricular adaptations in the classroom, according to the needs of the students. It also includes published literature that points out the problems that teachers have already expressed regarding the application of existing regulations. An analysis is made of the types of learning problems and suggestions for the success of students with special educational needs. The research took into account the opinion of 28 teachers who work at La Aurora School, Circuit 05, Regional Directorate of Pérez Zeledón, the principal of this institution and the supervising advisor of Circuit 05 in 2004. The main results obtained show that teachers are not adequately prepared to face the challenges regarding the application of Law 7600, the main reasons being the lack of knowledge of the Law, the lack of material resources, time and space, and the lack of existing bibliography on the subject. There was also a contradiction between what teachers perceive as the real problems in the classroom and the vision of the education authorities in this regard.
