Oliverio Girondo y la fealdad en poesía

Abstract

El presente artículo aspira a reflexionar sobre los conceptos de fealdad y degradación en tres poemas de Oliverio Girondo: “Ejecutoria del miasma”, “Testimonial” y “Hay que compadecerlos”, pertenecientes al poemario Persuasión de los días, en el cual pueden verse con más claridad rasgos de radicalidad estética, moral y social que definen a Girondo como un poeta vanguardista. Las inquietudes del creador sobre la esencia del ser y del mundo, las dudas sobre el lugar que nos corresponde y sobre el funcionamiento de los engranajes de la existencia son determinantes en la obra poética de Oliverio Girondo.

The aim of this article is to think about the concepts of ugliness and degradation in three poems by Oliverio Girondo : “Ejecutoria del miasma”, “Testimonial”, and “Hay que compadecerlos”, all belonging to his book Persuasión de los días. In these poems, it is possible to discern more clearly the social, moral, and aesthetic radicalism characterizing Girondo as a vanguardist poet. His worries about the essence of human being and the world, his doubts about our place in this world and the functioning of the gear of existence, are determinant elements in the poetic work of Oliverio Girondo.
