Desarrollo histórico y percepción del proceso de implementación del Sistema internacional de unidades en Costa Rica

Abstract

Primeramente, se expone el desarrollo histórico del Sistema Internacional de Unidades (SIU). Luego, se describen la estructura organizacional y el marco legal resultantes de la implementación de dicho sistema en Costa Rica y su vinculación con el Sistema Metrológico Mundial. Finalmente, se analiza la percepción de los costarricenses ante el proceso de sustitución de medidas tradicionales por las del SIU.Firstly, the historical development of the International System of Units is exposed. Then, the organizational structure and the legal frame resulting from the implementation of such system in Costa Rica are described, and also their links to Metrology International System. Finally, an analysis in made about the perception of the Costa Rican Population facing the substitution of the traditional measures by the International Units System.
