Abstract. This work presents the description of the block programming workshop, where a playful and attractive alternative is disclosed that can motivate people to start in the world of programming. We work with the Scratch tool, in this writing the resources that the program has are disclosed, as well as the way to introduce the participants in the world of programming. The workshop is an initiative of the university extension project “Creating programming skills in young people and teachers in both secondary and higher education at the School of Computer Science of the National University. Which is an initiative to motivate more people in the study of programming and make it known that the initial concepts can enhance their creativity and eliminate the probable errors that may occur at the syntax level, but rather it is intended that students can relate the graphic part with programming structures.
