For a long time, there has been a discussion about the true role that Physics plays in secondary education, and, therefore, in the development of a country. Perhaps the most important reason for studying Physics is that “...it constitutes one of the most surprising creations of the human mind, it represents the continuous effort of man to solve problems, answer, understand and interpret certain situations in a logical and orderly manner. ” (Genzer, 1972, p.14) therefore, it is part of the culture and the work of man and is more than enough reason for it to be studied and known. But the most important reason is that through physics it is possible for the student to reason about the aspects that surround him, if it is properly taught for this purpose. If the teaching of Physics focuses on this last purpose, it is much more important than simple physical knowledge, since it is quickly forgotten; On the other hand, the development of the reasoning capacity that the individual manages to achieve will be available for use in any other area in which he or she works.
