This Final Graduation Project was carried out with the general purpose of analyze the Methods of Alternative Conflict Resolution (RAC) and its applicability in the educational context from the formation process of the Teaching of Studies career Social and Civic Education (BEESEC) of the National University (UNA). For that reason the subject of study corresponded to the group of teacher training of the IV level of the BEESEC of the UNA. The qualitative approach was used with a naturalistic paradigm through the method case study, with the aim of developing the application of RAC mechanisms as a useful tool in the training process of the career. They were implemented as instruments the survey and the semi-structured interview, and as a result the application of an awareness workshop on alternative conflict resolution mechanisms. The data were analyzed and distributed by means of theoretical coding, analysis of documents, consistency matrix and comparative analysis. After the analysis of results and the application of the awareness workshop, the evidenced that the approach of RAC methods in the teacher training process can contribute to reducing the expectation and generalized fear regarding the management of conflictive situations that can culminate in violence. In this sense, the approach research and orientation of the workshop was directed to the practical use of knowledge, to the promotion of soft skills for a healthy coexistence, the development of management emotion as a potential tool in the teaching-learning relationship, to the integrality between the recognition of the conflict and the importance of addressing it effectively in order to develop and preserve social relationships.
