In our country, exploitation without any mediation or means of motivation has been increasing in recent years, many species are in danger of extinction due to this (Jiménez 1999). It has been thought that it is time to put an end to this and different forest management plans have been developed (Valerio and Salas 1998) to give sustainability to these environments, but even with these measures many populations continue to decline, which is worrying and that is why other solutions had to be found; seed collection to learn about the behavior of some species, both in nurseries and in forest plantations (INSEFOR 2002). Intensive and extensive logging has shown negative effects on seed sources, preventing the proliferation of seedlings (Niembro 1981). There is no doubt that seedlings are one of the most important forms of geroplastic material, a product of our forests, which is the main source of natural or artificial regeneration both in forests and in recovery zones (Niembro 1986, Niembro 1981) due to to the benefits and use they offer, but if you can't identify it, this material is being wasted.
