La mediación de las referencias cinematográficas en la narrativa testimonial centroamericana : Marco Antonio Flores, Omar Cabezas y Rodrigo Rey Rosa

Abstract

Analiza la mediación que ejercen las referencias cinematográficas y las alusiones al lenguaje fílmico en la configuración narrativa del discurso testimonial centroamericano desde la construcción del mundo representado y la concepción del sujeto enunciativo testimonial en Los compañeros (1976), de Marco Antonio Flores; La montaña es algo más que una inmensa estepa verde (1982), de Omar Cabezas y El material humano (2009), de Rodrigo Rey Rosa. Realiza un análisis teórico y contextual acerca de la línea retórica y discursiva de la crítica y la historiografía literaria, en el fenómeno del discurso testimonial en Centroamérica. Explica las razones de fondo acerca de por qué los estudios sobre este tema han girado sobre el eje social y político, y han abandonado las perspectivas estéticas y artísticas. Muestra las conexiones existentes entre estética y política para abordar lo testimonial y, así, subsanar un problema epistemológico que se viene acarreando desde la década de los setenta. Por medio de las referencias a la cinematografía en ejemplos de novelas testimoniales centroamericanas como Los compañeros (1976), La montaña es algo más que una inmensa estepa verde (1982) y El material humano (2009) se prueba las fuertes intenciones artísticas y el profundo sentido estético que el discurso testimonial manifestó durante todas estas décadas; pero que, por intereses políticos e ideológicos, fue silenciado.

Analyzes the mediation exerted by cinematographic references and allusions to filmic language in the narrative configuration of the Central American testimonial discourse from the construction of the represented world and the conception of the testimonial enunciative subject in Los compañeros (1976), by Marco Antonio Flores; La montaña es algo más que una inmensa estepa verde (1982), by Omar Cabezas and El material humano (2009), by Rodrigo Rey Rosa. It makes a theoretical and contextual analysis about the rhetorical and discursive line of criticism and literary historiography in the phenomenon of the testimonial discourse in Central America. Explains the underlying reasons why studies on this subject have focused on the social and political axis, and have abandoned the aesthetic and artistic perspectives. It shows the existing connections between aesthetics and politics to approach the testimonial and, thus, to rectify an epistemological problem that has been carried since the seventies. Through references to cinematography in examples of Central American testimonial novels such as Los compañeros (1976), La montaña es algo más que una inmensa estepa verde (1982) and El material humano (2009), it proves the strong artistic intentions and the deep aesthetic sense that the testimonial discourse manifested during all these decades; but which, due to political and ideological interests, was silenced.
