Resumen
Esta investigación tuvo como propósito analizar las modalidades y/ o programas de la educación costarricense implementados por los centros educativos adscritos en la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón. Partiendo de este objetivo general se desglosan los siguientes objetivos específicos: Identificar las modalidades y/ o programas educativos implementados en los centros educativos adscritos en la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón. Determinar la propuesta metodológica de las modalidades y/ o programas educativos implementados por los centros educativos adscritos en la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón. Establecer la diferenciación de las modalidades y/o programas educativos implementados por los centros educativos adscritos en la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón y la pertinencia de su reconocimiento en la certificación de conclusión de estudios. La presente investigación se enmarca dentro del tipo descriptivo, ya que se pretende analizar y describir las modalidades y/ o programas educativos que se implementan en la Dirección Regional Educativa de Pérez Zeledón. Además, la investigación incluye aspectos cualitativos que refuerzan el trabajo realizado, porque el interés del mismo abarca el estudio de los significados de las acciones humanas y de la vida social con el fin de evitar sesgos y dar mayor validez, en el estudio que realizan los investigadores. En el marco teórico se presentan los temas que fundamentan nuestra investigación, tomando como referencia textos como: Educación costarricense; pedagogías del siglo XX; investigación cualitativa, retos e interrogantes; metodología de la investigación; valores humanos y actitudes positivistas. Para efectos de dicha investigación se utilizó como instrumento la entrevista a profundidad dirigida a directores, docente y padres de familia. La población en estudio consta de 235 instituciones de I y II ciclo, 33 instituciones de educación secundaria, y 7 instituciones de educación para adultos. Con una muestra de 20 diferentes instituciones entre escuelas, colegios y programas de educación de adultos adscritos en la dirección regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón. Las conclusiones muestran que en la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón se identificaron diez modalidades y un programa educativo en I y II ciclo de la Educación General Básica, diez modalidades y dos programas en Educación Secundaria y dos modalidades y un programa de Educación para Adultos. En las modalidades y/ o programas educativos mencionados de evidencia carencia de recursos humanos y materiales necesarios para la ejecución efectiva de los mismos en el desarrollo del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the modalities and/or programs of Costa Rican education implemented by the educational centers attached to the Regional Directorate of Education of Pérez Zeledón. Starting from this general objective, the following specific objectives are broken down: To identify the educational modalities and/or programs implemented in the educational centers attached to the Regional Education Directorate of Pérez Zeledón. Determine the methodological proposal of the educational modalities and/or programs implemented by the educational centers assigned to the Regional Education Directorate of Pérez Zeledón. To establish the differentiation of the educational modalities and/or programs implemented by the educational centers attached to the Regional Education Directorate of Pérez Zeledón and the relevance of their recognition in the certification of completion of studies. This research is framed within the descriptive type, since it intends to analyze and describe the educational modalities and/or programs implemented in the Regional Education Directorate of Pérez Zeledón. In addition, the research includes qualitative aspects that reinforce the work carried out, because the interest of the research encompasses the study of the meanings of human actions and social life in order to avoid biases and give greater validity to the study carried out by the researchers. In the theoretical framework we present the topics that support our research, taking as reference texts such as: Costa Rican education; 20th century pedagogies; qualitative research, challenges and questions; research methodology; human values and positivist attitudes. For the purposes of this research, an in-depth interview with principals, teachers and parents was used as an instrument. The population under study consists of 235 institutions of I and II cycle, 33 institutions of secondary education, and 7 institutions of adult education. With a sample of 20 different institutions including schools, colleges and adult education programs attached to the Regional Directorate of Education of Perez Zeledon. The conclusions show that in the Regional Directorate of Education of Pérez Zeledón ten modalities and one educational program were identified in I and II cycle of General Basic Education, ten modalities and two programs in Secondary Education and two modalities and one program in Adult Education. In the aforementioned educational modalities and/or programs, there is a lack of human and material resources necessary for their effective execution in the development of the teaching and learning process.
