Resumen
Esta Investigación tuvo como propósito estudiar el rendimiento académico, en la Prueba `Nacional de Conclusión de la Educación General Básica, en la asignatura de Matemática siendo su objetivo general el analizar los factores personales, familiares y metodológicos que influyen en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de noveno nivel del Colegio Técnico Profesional San Isidro, circuito 03, en la Prueba Nacional de Conclusión de la Educación General Básica en la asignatura de Matemática, durante el curso lectivo del 2005. La investigación responde a un estudio descriptivo y explicativo debido a que pretende brindar información objetiva sobre los factores personales, familiares y metodológicos por parte del docente, que inciden en el rendimiento académico en la Prueba Nacional de Conclusión de la Educación General Básica, asignatura de Matemática, Las explicaciones para el bajo rendimiento de acuerdo a las conclusiones obtenidas, pueden ser varias; entre ellas se pueden citar, factores personales como la motivación y la actitud del estudiante hacia el aprendizaje de la Matemática, los hábitos de estudio, las técnicas de estudio. Así mismo factores familiares como la participación de los padres de familia en el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje, la comunicación entre familia hogar, la motivación al estudiante y la cultura familiar. Entre los factores metodológicos utilizados por el docente al impartir la lección de Matemática, se puede citar los diversos recursos y técnicas para que las clases se tornen más dinámicas y variadas. La experiencia del docente es fundamental en la labor que desarrolla y la práctica pedagógica.
The purpose of this research was to study the academic performance in the National Test of Conclusion of General Basic Education, in the subject of Mathematics. Its general objective was to analyze the personal, family and methodological factors that influence the academic performance of the ninth level students of the San Isidro Professional Technical College, circuit 03, in the National Test of Conclusion of General Basic Education in the subject of Mathematics, during the 2005 academic year. The research responds to a descriptive and explanatory study because it aims to provide objective information on personal, family and methodological factors on the part of the teacher, which affect academic performance in the National Test of Conclusion of General Basic Education, subject of Mathematics. The explanations for the low performance, according to the conclusions obtained, can be several; among them we can mention personal factors such as motivation and attitude of the student towards the learning of Mathematics, study habits, study techniques. Also, family factors such as the participation of parents in the teaching-learning process, communication between family and home, student motivation and family culture. Among the methodological factors used by the teacher when teaching the mathematics lesson, we can mention the various resources and techniques to make the classes more dynamic and varied. The teacher's experience is fundamental in the work he/she develops and the pedagogical practice.
