posterior, ataxia muscular, convulsiones, disfagia y fiebre.
Neosporosis is caused by the parasite Neospora caninum. This is an obligate intracellular coccidian, whose infection can occur orally, transplacental or transmammary. In symptomatic animals it is common to find ascending hindbrain paralysis, muscular ataxia, convulsions, dysphagia and fever. Puppies infected by transplacental route usually present a more severe clinical picture, where signs appear between 1-6 months of age, and there may even be sudden death due to myocarditis.
