Taller de teatro: Un medio para fomentar el pensamiento crítico, humanista y creativo entre el estudiantado

Abstract

Desde el 2019 en la Universidad Nacional, campus Sarapiquí, se ha desarrollado un taller de teatro ofertado a la comunidad estudiantil. Por medio de una investigación se buscó identificar de qué manera en el estudiantado esta actividad extracurricular complementa su proceso académico de formación profesional, mediante el análisis del pensamiento crítico y humanista que caracterizan los procesos de creación en la agrupación. Por ende, en un inicio se consultaron referencias que reconocen los aportes del teatro como medio para el diálogo de saberes que fomenten habilidades o características necesarias para el desarrollo de un pensamiento humanista, así como crítico y, por lo tanto, creativo. Con la información recabada se elaboró un cuestionario autoadministrado compuesto de preguntas abiertas y cerradas, se le aplicó a once estudiantes participantes del proyecto que han pasado por las etapas de elección de la temática, investigación, creación de la obra y presentación al público, las cuales son necesarias para la producción teatral y socialización de la reflexión colectiva del taller. El análisis de datos permitió identificar que la mayoría del estudiantado adquiere competencias y habilidades necesarias para el desarrollo de un pensamiento crítico y humanista. Además, los conocimientos transcienden la actividad artística y llegan a complementar otros procesos de aprendizaje y relaciones sociales en las que interactúan. Sin embargo, es necesario reconocer cuáles son las intenciones de un taller de teatro en una institución académica, para estructurar la metodología y mediación que permita al estudiantado aprovechar los beneficios de la actividad extracurricular.Since 2019 at the Universidad Nacional, Campus Sarapiquí, a theater workshop has been offered to the student community. This investigation sought to identity how in the student body this extracurricular activity complements their academic process of profesional studies, by analyzing the critical and humanistic thinking that characterize the creation processes in the group. Therefore, at the beginning, references that recognize the contributions of theater as a means for the dialogue of knowledge that foster skills or characteristics necessary for the development of humanistic, critical and therefore creative thinking were consulted. With the information collected, a self-administered questionnaire composed of open in addition to closed questions was developed, and applied to eleven paticipating students in the project, who have gone through the stages of choosing the theme, research, creation of the play and presentation to the public, which are necessary for the theatrical production and socialization of the collective reflection of the workshop. The data analysis allowed the investigation to identity that the majority of the students get the skills and abilities necessary for the development of critical and humanistic thinking. In addition, kwoledge transcends the artistic activity, complementing other learning processes and social relationships in which they interact. However, it is necessary to recognize the intentions of a theater workshop in a academic institution, to structure the methodology and mediation that allows the students to take advantage of the benefits of extracurricular activity.
