Resumen
Los tiempos actuales parecen haber deja do atrás la prudencia y la discreción en la forma de conducir las relaciones diplomáticas entre países. El miedo se ha instala do como una forma transaccional de obtener resultados a corto plazo, pues parten de intereses nacionalistas. La Escuela de Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad Nacional (UNA) abrió un espacio de debate con estudian tes para tratar este tema desde el concepto de la diplomacia pública. Para ello invitó al catedrático de la Universidad de Castilla-La Macha, de España, Juan Luis Manfredi, quien dictó una conferencia en el auditorio Clodomiro Picado Twight, del Campus Omar Dengo.

Fear has been installed as a transactional way of obtaining short-term results, since they are based on nationalistic interests.
