The purpose of this research was to identify some problems related to the Integrated Management of Water Resources in the Chiz-Maravilla and Quebrada Honda sub-basins, Cartago, Costa Rica; in order to generate an informative process through didactic strategies for three target groups to which they were directed. This was developed with a dominant qualitative approach, through a phenomenological study. The collection of information was obtained through a content analysis matrix of the documentary sources, as well as validation matrices by expert judgments. We worked with three target groups: sixth grade students, drinking water operators, and the Jiménez community. The analysis of results exposes in detail how the selection of the problems to work for the construction of the didactic strategies directed to each target group was. After their construction, they went through a validation process through expert judgments where they sought to obtain a quality product for the dissemination process. In addition, a website was enabled, where the didactic strategies are found and are freely accessible to the general population. In conclusion, it was possible to determine the problems that affected each target group and thus create their respective didactic strategy which went through a validation process for their improvement, later approaching it with the interest group. Finally, it is of great importance that knowledge disseminators are trained in the areas of pedagogy and involve the communities involved for possible solutions in IWRM processes, therefore, it is necessary to establish dissemination channels in order to promote a scientific culture.
