The researchers, when developing this study under the modality of thesis with a line of investigation of administrative processes in the office, try to answer the research question: How do ergonomic conditions affect the level of job satisfaction of administrative management personnel of the Bank of Costa Rica (BCR), branches of Heredia, Santo Domingo and San Isidro de Heredia, during the period 2020?. In a world of constant change, people, in their office, remain for long periods in the same position, in small spaces, carrying out administrative activities. This is why this study is based on ergonomics, the object of efforts for years in favor of its correct application in this type of organization. This issue is a matter in which physical, cognitive, environmental and organizational aspects intervene affecting directly the health of workers. These were the reasons that motivated the development of this research and the analysis of variables such as ergonomics, furniture and the perception of the collaborating group of the BCR in the branches under study; for which a series of visits was programmed in order to apply the necessary working instruments for the development of the research. Thus, the following specific objectives were set: to compare the criteria on ergonomics existing in Banco de Costa Rica in relation to current national regulations; to identify the perception of the collaborating group regarding the ergonomic conditions that the bank has and, at the same time, to determine the level of xi satisfaction of the administrative management personnel, given the ergonomic conditions provided by the bank; from which we can conclude the efforts made by the bank to comply with current national regulations. However, some regulatory provisions that directly affect staff satisfaction must be addressed. In this way, the document will provide meaningful contributions, inasmuch as it allows those responsible for the Occupational Health department of the BCR to make the best decisions on the subject and establish the necessary measures so that ergonomics is correctly implemented in the agencies.
