In this work, a study was carried out to verify the effective partial substitution of commonly used reagents in the production of rigid polyurethane foams, by lignocellulosic materials from the sugar industry, such as sugar cane molasses and reinforced with ground fiber from bagasse. of sugar cane. Polyurethane foams are obtained as a reaction product between polyols and polyisocyanates in the presence of a catalyst. The ground bagasse fiber was physically and chemically characterized, which was used as reinforcement. The highest percentages found were cellulose with 47.29%, lignin with 24.41% and holocellulose with 66.12%.
