The main purpose of this directed practice was to develop a training plan for teachers, children and parents to deal with risk situations experienced in I and II cycle of the Finca Tamarindo school, circuit 12 of the Regional Educational Directorate of Coto. The research responds to a quantitative approach study, an exploration and verification of subjects for the study was carried out with the result of a database that served as a support for verification, followed as a descriptive study. The most notable literature consulted is: Montero, Carlos and Arauz, Jeannette. (2007). Didactic guide for the elaboration of risk perception maps in I and II cycle of basic general education. San José, Costa Rica: Ed.Impresiones Amerique S.A. Fallas, Juan Carlos and Oviedo, Rusibeth. (2005). Atmospheric Phenomena and Climate Change. San José, Costa Rica: Ed Ministerio de Educación Pública. To record the systematization process, diagnostics and workshops were designed and applied to teachers, parents and children, I and II cycle of the Finca Tamarindo school. The main results show that the study population has moderate knowledge to face a natural disaster. It is important to clarify that the subjects investigated do not know what to do before, during and after a natural risk event, they do not know what prevention and mitigation measures should be applied, which makes this population sensitive to a disaster. The conclusions indicate that the practical tool of a training plan is the platform to prepare a population on the subject of risk prevention in natural disasters. It is recommended that teachers involve parents or caregivers in pedagogical mediation activities on the topic of natural disasters to raise awareness of a culture of prevention. The topic of natural disasters should be taken up again in a more in-depth manner, since the educational programs present it in a simple manner.
