The National University of Perez Zeledon, which through the program of Promoting Community Social Capital carries out a project to create tourist routes in the district of Biolley, because for four years it has trained people from the communities of the district on topics such as: computer science, English, business administration and artistic themes, what is sought with this project is that entrepreneurs can relate their businesses with the tourism industry, which will allow trained people to find a job option in the district. On the other hand, Biolley received the declaration of public interest in tourism development in 2013, which will allow public institutions to promote the development of infrastructure and tourism investments in the area, making this project feasible, since the tourist routes seek to promote an increase in the number of visitors to the district. The project is based on the creation of three different routes, which will allow visitors to spend at least one night in the area, interact with the local people, learn about their customs and traditions, as well as the natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions, among others. The purpose of each route is to facilitate the work of the visitor, to make his visit more pleasant, since each one has a map showing the location of each of the attractions, as well as the route to follow, also the itinerary with each activity to be performed at each site, also a card with information on each attraction, contact and services, in order to guide the visitor in his visit. In conclusion, the project for the creation of tourist routes in the district of Biolley will be a basis for the future development of the district in terms of tourism, making known the tourist attractions and the importance of the district's location in the La Amistad International Park, which is the largest in the country, and of having enterprises that develop rural tourism, which generates economic development for the inhabitants of the area.
