Mujeres migrantes centroamericanas y el reto de la violencia de género

Abstract

Este artículo pretende explorar la realidad de las mujeres migrantes en Centroamérica, las manifestaciones de violencia de género de las cuales son víctimas, sus causas y determinar a partir de ello posibles soluciones a nivel regional y nacional que limiten los casos de violencia sistémica que sufren las mujeres en sus procesos de movilidad humana. Asimismo, se dará un énfasis al rol de las políticas públicas en esta temática. Por último, se presentan algunas conclusiones obtenidas del proceso de investigación.

This article explores the reality of migrant women in Central America.Likewise, it analyses the manifestations of gender based violence from whichwomen are victims and their causes. Based on the presented information, thearticle looks forward to possible solutions that limit the cases of systemic violenceagainst women during their migration process, in a regional and national level.Therefore, an special emphasis will be given to the design of public policies on thistopic. Lastly, the conclusions obtained from the investigation will be presented.
