The purpose of this text is to enable young people to easily understand the meaning of each article of our Constitution, so that the misconception of it being an old and distant document is clarified and it becomes clear that it is an ally in learning about and exercising the fundamental rights enjoyed by everyone in Costa Rica. It is important to remember that the Constitution is not a text to be memorized, but rather one to be known, consulted, and understood, so that we can understand that, even though it was born in 1949, it is still alive and evolving to respond to the needs that we face as a society every day.
