Resumen
La República Dominicana firmó el Acuerdo de Asociación Económica (AAE),
mejor conocido como EPA en el año 2008. En adición, como beneficio ofrecido por el
acuerdo las exportaciones dominicanas están exentas de impuestos, lo cual le ofrece al
país una excelente oportunidad de hacer negocios con un mercado tan potencial como lo
es la conformación de 27 países, Unión Europea.
En sentido de las exportaciones dominicanas, el mango es uno de los principales
productos agrícolas de exportación, luego del banano y el aguacate. En este mismo
sentido, esta es un fruta tropical de fibra y carnosa que proporciona mediante su ingestión
múltiples vitaminas y puede ser usado de diversas formar. En cuanto a la producción del
mango dominicano, la producción resulta voluminosa debido a la venta del país con
relación a los factores de producción tierra y mano de obra, que son abundantes en dicha
isla, pero en cuanto a competitividad la situación se pondera deficiente.
De acuerdo a la nomenclatura arancelaria, el código de comercialización del
producto es 0804.50.21, y bajo este código con respecto a las relaciones comerciales con
Europa su arancel es 0%. A consecuencia de esto, la RD tiene ventaja al exportar y esta
ser un incentivo e impulso para las exportaciones de dicho país hacia el mercado Francés,
mercado que es potencial en las importaciones de mango.
Por consiguiente, el propósito de esta investigación es confrontar si el país
realmente ha aprovechado el beneficio del acuerdo en adición a un programa
implementado por el clúster de mango (PRMANGO) para convertir el país en un
exportador líder.
La metodología utilizada para llevar a cabo la investigación es de carácter
descriptivo y por consiguiente el método deductivo. En cuanto a las técnicas para la
recolección de la información, fueron protagonistas la revisión documental y la de campo.
La primera consistió en el estudio de documentos relacionados el tema y la investigación
de campo trato de entrevistas a personas expertas en la materia.
Los resultados presentados a causa de la investigación es que la República
Dominicana no ha está aprovechando el beneficio al 100% del acuerdo y las estrategias
de PROMAGO no están siendo del todo efectivas de acuerdo con su objetivo. Fue
oportuno notar que las promociones realizadas por PROMAGO para promocionar el
mango dominicano ha sido la herramienta que ha mantenido activas las exportaciones, de
lo contrario sin ellas las relaciones comerciales con Francia hubiesen caído por las
inconsistencias en el producto exportado. Es importante resaltar que los principales
problemas que afectan la competitividad del mango de exportaciones es el acceso al
financiamiento que presentan los productores y altos riesgos por ausencia de recursos.

It has an advantage when exporting, this is an incentive and impetus to exports from that country into the French market, a market that is potential in mango imports. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to confront whether the country has really taken advantage of the benefits of the agreement in addition to a program implemented by the cluster handle (PRMANGO) to turn the country into a leading exporter.
