Resumen
En el año 2006, entra en vigor el Tratado Comercial DR-CAFTA, acuerdo comercial que busca crear una zona de libre comercio entre los países firmantes, ya que el mismo facilitaría la comercialización de productos entre las naciones tratantes. Con este acuerdo, la República Dominicana buscaba impulsar los productos nacionales hacia otros mercados, o en el caso que compete a este estudio, reiniciar las exportaciones de carne bovina que años atrás ya se realizaban.
Por consiguiente, el propósito de esta investigación fue, identificar los requisitos a cumplir, para que la República Dominicana exporte carne bovina a los Estados Unidos. Así también, evaluar qué mecanismos son utilizados para determinar el cumplimiento de los requisitos establecidos y los resultados que ha obtenido el país al ser evaluado. De igual forma, identificar qué medidas ha tomado la República Dominicana con el fin de cumplir los requisitos establecidos para realizar las exportaciones.
La metodología utilizada en esta investigación fue de naturaleza cualitativa de tipo analítico y se utilizó el método deductivo. Las técnicas de investigación aplicadas fueron la documental y la de campo.
Como resultado de esta investigación, se determinó que la República Dominicana no ha cumplido en su totalidad los requisitos exigidos para exportar carne bovina a Estados Unidos, a pesar de que se han tomado medidas para solucionar las observaciones de las auditorías realizadas por los organismos internaciones. Por otro lado, si bien es cierto que el país ha iniciado los ajustes para poder cumplir, hasta la fecha, la mayor parte de los productores nacionales por diversos factores no han expresado su interés de incursionar en las exportaciones
The Commercial Treaty DR-CAFTA, went into effect on 2006, this trade agreement that seeks to create a free trade area between the signatory countries, since it would facilitate the marketing of products between these nations. With this agreement the Dominican Republic sought to promote domestic products to other markets, or in the case of this study falls to restart exports of beef already carried out years ago. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to identify the requirements that have to be met, in order for the Dominican Republic to export beef to the United States. Also, assess what mechanisms are used to determine compliance with the established requirements and the results that were obtained by the country when assessed. Similarly, identify what steps it has taken the Dominican Republic to meet the necessary requirements for to export. The methodology used in this research was qualitative nature, as analytical type, supported by the deductive method an. The research techniques that were applied were documentary and field. As a result of this investigation, it was determined that the Dominican Republic has not fully met the requirements to export beef to the United States, although steps have been taken to implement the necessary measures to address the observations of the audits conducted by international bodies. On the other hand, if it is true that the country has started the adjustments to comply, with date, no domestic producers have expressed interest to venture into exports.
