This study aims to lay the groundwork for assessing the social and financial impact of implementing social economy organizations such as cooperatives to promote local and territorial development. In these organizations, people are empowered by their work and efforts and, in turn, receive the benefits they provide more equitably. This research aims to evaluate the socio-financial impact of implementing COOPROSANJ in the district of San Jerónimo de Esparza, as part of the local and territorial development project promoted by CONACOOP, and thus demonstrate the benefits that such programs could have for national sectors seeking development. At the same time, to achieve this objective, a series of activities will be developed, such as identifying an administrative management model that, under the cooperative status, meets ideal characteristics for the producers of San Jerónimo de Esparza. Also, determining the influence that the social environment could have on implementing COOPROSANJ in the study area, and constructing socio-financial indicators that reflect the impact of local-territorial development in the area and measuring the socio-financial impact of the project's implementation in the study area. The social economy sector, to which cooperatives belong, seeks to combine the efficiency generated by the private sector with the well-being of citizens desired by the public sector, always with the aim of generating development with a greater presence in the quality of life of the people who participate in these processes directly or indirectly. It is through initiatives such as the local-territorial development project presented by CONACOOP for the San Jerónimo de Esparza area that the social economy sector's vision is executed. In projects of this type, it is important to work hard to impress upon the community members involved that all actions undertaken can be improved and that the resulting benefits will reach their own homes. For the project to begin successfully, endure over time, and grow stronger, the promoters agree that it is necessary for the group to remain united and for there to be leadership capable of keeping the project on track. It is also necessary to make the best possible use of available resources, especially the products. The greatest expectation is to successfully establish the cooperative so that it can market most of the products that are currently lost or sold at prices below production costs. Other expectations are to increase the number of producers involved, export their products, achieve unity among the community and especially among the area's producers, and secure the support of various institutions to successfully complete the project.
