Resumen
Se investiga la incidencia de la televisión en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, a través de la medición de la influencia de los contenidos de los programas de televisión en los educandos, la cantidad de horas que destinan los niños a ver estos programas, y el análisis del control que ejerce el padre de familia sobre los programas de televisión. Dicho estudio se aplicó a los estudiantes de la Escuela Siete Colinas de San Vito, Coto Brus, circuito 09, Región Educativa Coto, durante el curso lectivo 2003. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, y se trabajó con un muestreo al azar simple conformada por 28 estudiantes, 8 padres de familia y 2 docentes. Entre las conclusiones, la investigación no encontró una relación entre los programas de televisión que ven los niños que afecten directamente los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje, sin embargo, si evidencia que los padres no supervisan los programas que ven sus hijos.
The incidence of television in the teaching-learning process was investigated by measuring the influence of the contents of television programs on students, the number of hours children spend watching these programs, and the analysis of the control exercised by parents over television programs.
