¿Se transfiere la popularidad de un presidente a un candidato?

Abstract

En este artículo se habla que en la última década, en 30 gobiernos democráticos de todo el mundo, solo el 13% de las veces se ha transferido el poder con base en la popularidad del presidente en ejercicio. En momentos en que la figura del presidente de la República goza, de manera inédita, de altos índices de popularidad al arribar a su tercer año de mandato, surge la inquietud de si esa valoración positiva podría trasladarse a la persona que se designe como candidata para el oficialismo, de cara a las elecciones de 2026.

This article states that in the last decade, in 30 democratic governments around the world, only 13% of the time power has been transferred based on the popularity of the incumbent president. At a time when the figure of the President of the Republic enjoys, in an unprecedented manner, high popularity indexes as he reaches his third year in office, the concern arises as to whether this positive valuation could be transferred to the person who is designated as the candidate for the ruling party, in view of the 2026 elections.
