Resumen
Desde 1940, la educación religiosa es una materia más del currículo de la educación
pública costarricense. Al cumplirse 80 años de ese hecho, es oportuno reflexionar
sobre los enfoques que sustentan los programas de esta materia. Este artículo se
ocupará de plantear la pertinencia de incluir la perspectiva de género en los programas.
La educación religiosa tiene la responsabilidad ética de aportar para la construcción
de una sociedad justa y equitativa. Incorporar esta perspectiva permitirá
actualizar contenidos que promuevan el reconocimiento pleno de la humanidad de
las mujeres y de los derechos que les atañen como tales.
