The objective of this analytical qualitative research is to determine the critical success factors in Dos Mangas through the Delphi method with the aim of providing some planning criteria for the town council and improving community´s management of tourism activities. Among the critical success factors detected are technological resources, training, empowerment, planning, self-management, and others that coincide with the management problems observed in community- based tourism. The associativity factor obtained less weight than the articulation factor of political actors, which could mean an attitude of isolation because of the community character towards the activity and the lack of understanding related to the importance of networking to generate opportunities
