Resumen
El trabajo realizado en el marco del presente estudio, se enfoca en la
producción y el consumo sostenible de productos agrícolas. Mediante una serie
de características relevantes, analiza y describe el avance y la situación de la
producción sostenible en el país, así como las oportunidades que ofrece el
comercio internacional de dichos productos.
Su objetivo general es determinar los procesos para la mejora de la producción
y el consumo sostenible de frutas frescas, a partir del análisis de los avances
nacionales en materia de producción agropecuaria sostenible, de cara al
entorno del comercio internacional.
El método utilizado para la realización del estudio se basa en revisión de
fuentes secundarias y entrevistas a expertos en materia de producción y
comercio de productos sostenibles.
El estudio refleja la existencia de oportunidades para el comercio de productos
agrícolas nacionales originados en procesos de producción sostenible, así
como la necesidad de fortalecer una serie de campos referidos a la
trazabilidad, visibilización y comprobación de los atributos ambientales del
proceso de producción, además de la generación de estadísticas que permitan
administrar los esfuerzos para el fomento de la producción sostenible.
The work carried out in the framework of this study focuses on the production and sustainable consumption of agricultural products. Through a series of relevant features, it analyses and describes the progress and situation of sustainable production in the country, as well as the opportunities offered by international trade in these products. Its overall objective is to determine the processes for the improvement of the production and sustainable consumption of fresh fruits, based on the analysis of national advances in sustainable agricultural production, in view of the international trade environment. The method used for conducting the study is based on review of secondary sources and interviews with experts in the field of production and trade in sustainable products. The study reflects the existence of opportunities for trade in domestic agricultural products arising from sustainable production processes, as well as the need to strengthen a number of areas related to traceability, visibility and verification of the environmental attributes of the production process, as well as the generation of statistics to manage efforts to promote sustainable production.
