Resumen
Investiga los niveles de incidencia del uso del comedor y del transporte estudiantil en los índices de deserción escolar en tercer ciclo y educación diversificada de la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón. Es una investigación de tipo descriptiva. Se investigó a los estudiantes desertores del tercer ciclo y educación diversificada del año 2001 de la Dirección Regional de Educación de Pérez Zeledón, que contaban con el servicio de comedor y transporte estudiantil, así como los padres de los estudiantes desertores, los directores y orientadoras de las instituciones. Las conclusiones indican que la mayoría de alumnos desertores no usan el comedor ni el transporte estudiantil, por lo tanto, el uso del servicio no incide en la deserción.
This study investigates the incidence levels of the use of the cafeteria and student transportation in school dropout rates in the third cycle and diversified education of the Regional Directorate of Education of Pérez Zeledón. It is a descriptive research. We investigated the dropout students of the third cycle and diversified education of the year 2001 of the Regional Directorate of Education of Perez Zeledon, who had the canteen and student transportation service, as well as the parents of the dropout students, the directors and counselors of the institutions. The conclusions indicate that the majority of dropouts do not use the cafeteria or student transportation; therefore, the use of the service does not have an impact on dropout.
