This topic reflects on the speed and superficiality of the modern world, dominated by consumerism, globalization and the cult of efficiency, which impoverishes human and cultural life. Dehumanization is criticized and the need for a humanism that is not absorbed by the demands of the market and competitiveness is vindicated. Also, art and critical thinking are highlighted as tools to resist dehumanization. Humanism, in this sense, requires, in turn, to feed on that need of the soul to increase the values that have always been dear to it: loyalty to its own becoming. In the same way, the reader will find a reflection on our time in which its image is valid to understand this civilizing and imperialist phenomenon in its best sense of central uprooting towards others and influence, which incites to see globalization as a duty to be, relieving and hiding itself.
