A discussion is presented on the work of research, reflection, debate and intellectual production at the Center for General Studies-UNA, on the theme of New Humanism and its implementation in the substantive work of this faculty in recent years. First, the historical circumstances of humanity in the present are presented, which urgently call for a humanist praxis at the dawn of the 21st century. Next, the history of humanist thought is reviewed, and then the Three Dimensional Paradigm (TDP) of New Humanism is presented. In the following section, some intellectual derivations of the PTD are presented, applied to the global conjuncture of our times. In summary, it defends the notion that New Humanism can lead to a transformative academic praxis within CEG-UNA, and perhaps as a universal model for other colleges and universities within and outside the Latin American context.
