Immunology is a medical discipline that studies the base of life, that is, the molecular, biological and biochemistry of cells. Many doctors today think, that this specialty is the basis of medicine, since the knowledge of cellular function explains different pathologies Infectious, rheumatic, tumorous, etc. When analyzing the cellular interactions that guarantee the defense of the organism faced with various assaults, Immunology facilitates discovery of new diseases. Explaining their mechanisms, allows the conception of both treatments specific, such as chemical and biological medicines that can fight them. For the reasons explained above, as time passes, the Advances in immunology span more and more specialized fields of medicine: Today, it is an important part of oncology, infectious disease, and bone marrow and solid organ transplantation. The book Immunopathologie et rhumatologie pédiatriques is a guidance text on pediatric immunology and rheumatology. It is aimed at general practitioners, pediatricians general and even medical students who do their specialization in pediatrics. This book was produced and coordinated by two professors from the Réné Descartes University of Medicine in Paris, Doctor Claude GRISCELLI, Head of Service of the Immunonematology Unit of the Necker Hospital and Dr. Anne-Marie PRIEUR, pediatric rheumatologist, who is part of the Group of European Rheumatology. Each of its chapters has been written by professors French and other European countries, who describe their own experiences on the specific topic covered in it. For the reasons explained, this book brings together the most Important performed in the field of immunology and pediatric rheumatology at European level and the same is treated to make a consensus, standardizing concepts of the pediatric immunology and rheumatology. This is very useful when making conferences, research papers or simply consultations written between subject matter experts from different countries, helping them to communicate in the most complete way possible and promoting enriching exchanges between them.
