The student worked in five clinical departments of the Small Animal Clinic (diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, intensive care unit, anesthesia and surgery) for a period of six weeks, and in the different areas of the Exotic Mammals Department for other six weeks, which is the focus of this work. The intern participated in the attention of 159 cases in the Small Animal Clinic and 113 cases in the Exotic Mammals Department. This paper describes the activities performed by the intern, the most relevant findings of the cases, as well as issues regarding the different departments of the clinic. One case of the Exotic Mammals Department is developed: dental problems and hyperthyroidism in a guinea pig.
