Resumen
El documento presenta "Biriteca: La Enciclopedia Viviente", una iniciativa pedagógica y comunitaria desarrollada por la RED DESCA ARUANDA en colaboración con la Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica. Su objetivo principal es rescatar y sistematizar los saberes ancestrales de los pueblos originarios de Costa Rica y Latinoamérica, abordando temas como la deuda histórica, la erosión cultural, la emergencia climática y la reconstrucción de identidades. La metodología combina investigación-acción participativa, talleres comunitarios y el uso de tecnologías de la información, con miras a crear una plataforma virtual interactiva en el metaverso. La Biriteca busca ser una herramienta educativa y de empoderamiento para las comunidades, promoviendo el Buen Vivir y la justicia social desde una perspectiva decolonial e intercultural.
This document presents "Biriteca: The Living Encyclopedia," a pedagogical and community initiative developed by the DESCA ARUANDA Network in collaboration with the National University of Costa Rica. Its main objective is to rescue and systematize the ancestral knowledge of the indigenous peoples of Costa Rica and Latin America, addressing topics such as historical debt, cultural erosion, climate change, and identity reconstruction. The methodology combines participatory action research, community workshops, and the use of information technologies, with the aim of creating an interactive virtual platform in the metaverse. Biriteca seeks to be an educational and empowering tool for communities, promoting Buen Vivir and social justice from a decolonial and intercultural perspective.
