Factores que inciden en la reprobación del curso lectivo, por parte de los y las estudiantes de sétimo nivel del Liceo Unesco, 1999

Abstract

Investiga los factores que determinan la reprobación del curso lectivo por parte de los y las estudiantes de sétimo nivel del Liceo Unesco, 1999. Es una investigación de tipo descriptiva. Se investigo el total de la población reprobada, de sétimo nivel, así como sus respectivos padres-madres y el 50% de los profesores que imparten lecciones al sétimo nivel, los cuales fueron seleccionados al azar. Se concluye: Según los estudiantes los factores psicológicos no influyen en forma negativa en la reprobación escolar. Los padres y madres consideran que la ausencia de comprensión y cariño, así como la falta de motivación de parte de ellos si favorece la reprobación. Los profesores concluyen que la falta de motivación, la baja autoestima y la actitud negativa de algunos docentes si afecta la reprobación del curso.

Investigate the factors that determine failure in the academic year among seventh-grade students at Liceo Unesco, 1999. This is a descriptive study. The total population of seventh-grade students who failed was investigated, as well as their respective parents and 50% of the teachers who teach seventh grade, who were selected at random. The conclusion is that, according to the students, psychological factors do not have a negative influence on failing grades. Parents believe that a lack of understanding and affection, as well as a lack of motivation on the part of their children, does contribute to failing grades. Teachers conclude that a lack of motivation, low self-esteem, and the negative attitude of some teachers does affect failing grades.
