El pensamiento político de Calderón Guardia como expresión de un cambio revolucionario en Costa Rica (1940-1944)

Abstract

Esta investigación consiste en un análisis histórico de los modelos de Estado político, económico y social imperantes Costa Rica a la Administración de Tomás Guardia en 1870 y hasta 1944, fecha en que finaliza la Administración Rafael Calderón Guardia, en que se da un cambio estructural, pasando de ser un modelo de Estado liberal a uno social de derecho. Luego se analizan los efectos que se produjeron en el país como consecuencia este cambio de modelo. Se pretende evidenciar si la convergencia de ideas que llevaron a la Reforma Social en los años 1940 — 1944, a una evolución histórica y, hasta cierto punto, lógica; o si se trató de una verdadera revolución pensamiento costarricense que logró transformar un modelo de Estado de liberal en uno social.

This investigation is an historical analisis of the models of social, economic and political state prevailing from Tomas Guardia Administration in 1870 up to 1944, when Rafael Angel Calderón Guardia´s Administration ends. Here comes an structural change since the State transformed a type: of social from a liberal. After this, there is an of the that became in the country as a consequency of this change of model. We will try to give the evidence wheter the converge of ideas that took us to the Social Reformation during the years 1940 - 1944 is the result of an historical evolution and, up to certain point, logic; of if this is about a real revolution of the costarrican ideas that made the State transform from Liberal to social.
